Effected Audience: World Wide including European Union and other International countries and groups. This Privacy Policy will be effective as of May 23, 2018 for all new users and users in EU and EEA member countries.

The scope of this agreement pertains to Howtouseajournal.com, and its subsidiaries, brands, and network members (“we,” “us” or “Howtouseajournal.com”) providing downloadable personal development tools for free, and for a fee as well as products, books, blogs ET. To help our users build the life of their dreams. We place extreme value on the personal information of our customers and visitors who use our websites, products, or services (collectively, our “Users”). This privacy policy covers personal information, including any information we collect, use and share with you, as described further below. This privacy policy applies to HOWTOUSEAJOURNAL.COM, and its subsidiaries, brands and network members, our products and services, and our mobile applications (collectively, the “Services”). This privacy policy does not cover how our Users may use or share data that they collect using our services.

When you purchase a Service from us, your personal information may be collected, used, and shared consistent with the provisions of this privacy policy, which is part of this privacy policy:

  • Addendum for Users who purchased a membership and monthly services
  • Addendum for Users who purchased Domain Registration services

We securely store the data we collect in a variety of places within our infrastructure, including system log files, back-end databases, and analytics systems.  We respect the PCI compliance requirements and implement secure means to transfer the data whenever possible.

We use the information we receive for reporting trends and statistics, such as mobile search trends, email open rates by industry, campaign best practices, or the number of users that have been exposed to, or clicked on, our websites or evaluated or purchased our products and services.

Payment information that you provide to us, including credit card data, is used to facilitate payment for our products and services.

We use recorded telephone conversations for quality control purposes.

SHARING WITHIN THE MOTIVATION NUT NETWORK

We share personal information with other members of the Howtouseajournal.com network to allow our internal affiliates to contact you with offers, services, or products that we believe may be of interest to you. If you are located in a jurisdiction where such sharing requires your permission, we will only do so with your consent.

In the event we collect information from you in connection with an offer that is jointly presented by us and a partner, we will let you know who is collecting the information and whose privacy policy applies, as well as any options you may have regarding the use of your information.

SHARING WITH THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS AND VENDORS

We use third-party services to handle the standardized task.  Therefore, we may need to share your information to manage situations such as customer service, marketing and fraud investigation.  We prohibit  third parties from using any of your personal information for any purpose beyond the specific scope and purpose for which it was shared.

If you purchase a product or service from a third party through one of our brands, we will pass your personal information to such third party as needed in order for them to fulfill your order.

We share non-personal information with certain third parties, including the media, industry observers, marketing and advertising partners, vendors, customers, potential customers or partners. CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP

If the ownership of Howtouseajournal.com is transferred or merged with another company, the information in our database and our privacy policy will transfer to the new ownership.  You will still maintain all of the same rights and may ask to be removed before, or after the transfer of ownership.

This is handled by third-party PCI-compliant companies.  The fees for using the service are charged to us, and will not affect the price for the consumer.

We use cookies, web beacons, pixels, tags, scripts, and other similar technologies in the course of our business.  They are used to improve the user experience such as online marketing and shopping cart.

EMAIL

Feel free to opt out of our newsletters, information, and marketing emails at any time.   Just click the unsubscribe at the bottom of any email, or feel free to email us at privacy@Howtouseajournal.com. To cancel your delete your account, please follow the option to delete your membership.  Please note: Our email lists are separate from our membership accounts, so deleting an account and unsubscribing from the email may require two separate steps.

TELEPHONE AND TEXT MESSAGING

Please understand that we may need to contact you by telephone, with your consent where applicable, for marketing purposes (including by automatic dialer and/or prerecorded message). If you do not want to receive marketing calls please forward an email to privacy@Howtouseajournal.com, or feel free to contact a customer support agent who will likewise be happy to remove your phone or text number from our database.  Please be advised that your telecommunications company may charge you for text messages and you are solely responsible for any cost incurred as part of our agreement under these terms, and use of our products and services.

THIRD-PARTY INFORMATION

To manage the information we receive about you from a third-party website, you will need to follow the instructions from that party for updating your information and changing your privacy settings, where available. The information we collect and use is covered by this privacy. Privacy choices you have made on any third-party site will not update or modify the information we have collected from you the user.

UNAUTHORIZED ACCOUNTS

We do our best to keep our data accurate and secure, you find an account or profile was created without your knowledge or authorization, please contact customer support to request the removal of the account or profile.  We value your customer experience and wish to do anything we can to make it an enjoyable one.

RETENTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We retain your personal information to provide products, services, and marketing to you and as otherwise necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We will retain your personal information for no more than seven years following the later of the date on which you terminate your use of the Services or if we are otherwise required by law or regulation to retain your personal information for longer.

YOUR RIGHTS CONCERNING YOUR DATA

Where the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679, or GDPR, applies, in certain circumstances and subject to data processing agreements, you have rights in relation to the personal information we hold about you.  We do not operate in the EU but we do our best to uphold the systematic values they have presented.  Below is an outline of those rights and how to exercise those rights. Please note that we will require you to verify your identity before responding to any requests to exercise your rights by providing details only known to the account holder.

KNOWLEDGE OF HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

You have the right to know whether we process personal information about you and if we do to find out how we use it and who we share it with.

CORRECTION

If you feel you’re the personal information we have in our database about you is incorrect, please forward a detailed explanation of the error so we can fix it ASAP.  Simply forward privacy@Howtouseajournal.com and we will manage the issue expeditiously.

DELETION OF YOUR DATA FROM OUR DATABASE

You also have the right to object to us using your data to send you marketing offers and build profiles for such.  We are more than happy to remove any personal data from our database.  Please just contact us at privacy@Howtouseajournal.com , Identity what you wish to have removed and we will handle it expeditiously

Some of our Services provide links to other websites. Because we do not control the information policies or practices of these third-party sites, you should review their privacy policies to learn about how they collect and use personal information.

You may also log in to some of our Services using sign-in services such as Facebook Connect or an Open ID provider. These services will authenticate your identity and provide you with the option to share certain personal information with us, such as your name and email address to pre-populate our sign-up form.  You use these services at your own risk and by using the links you agree not to hold www.Howtouseajournal.com, its investors, employees, or affiliates responsible for any damages or consequences of your actions caused by using the link.

CHILDREN AND MEMBERS UNDER THE AGE OF 18

Our Services are not intended for anyone under 18. We do not, and will not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with personal information with, or without such parent or guardian’s consent, he or she is required to contact us immediately so we may remove the unwanted data. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will automatically, and without notice, delete such information from our files.

DATA PROCESSING

In order for us to provide the Services to you, your personal information will be transferred to and stored at/processed in the United States. Your personal data may also be processed by staff operating outside the United States (China, India, and the Philippines). We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your personal data is treated securely and in accordance with this policy.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time; it is the user’s discretion to review it frequently. If we decide to change this privacy policy in any material way, you will be notified here, by email, or a notice on www.Howtouseajournal.com or the website of the product or service you have purchased or subscribed to prior to the change becoming effective. In all cases, your continued use of any Services constitutes acceptance of any such changes.
